1: What is Active Directory?
Its the core of the system and resides in NTDS.
2: What is LDAP?
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. It's a command line interface to edit the directory services in active directory.
3: Can u connect Active directory to the third party directory services? Name few options?
Yes! you can connect Active directory to other third party directory services using MIIS ( Microsoft Identity Integration Server), eg. used with SAP, Domino servers.
4: Where is AD folder held? What other folders related to AD?
AD folder held inside NTDS. Other related folders are NTDS, Sysvol
5: What is Sysvol folder?
Its a server copy of domain public files. Group policy template will be inside this folder and its replicated in the DC inside the domain.
